At the heart of Villeurbanne, on the pedestrian avenue of Henri Barbusse, Etienne greets you with its nice outdoor setting. It has a very nice selection of drinks and desserts as well as an easy-going atmosphere. The indoors is ideal for working, co-working as well as dedicated gossips and concentrated book warmings or just for cooling under the AC. The staff is nice and understanding. Definitely worth visiting again and again...

Etienne have great coffee and tea options. You can sit there or get them take away. The atomsphere is great and the plave is cosy. You must try Thé des sultans and italian coffee. They have also a large selection of deserts, smoothies, milkshakes and much more. Tou can finally buy some of the coffee and tea options, freshly brewed.

Very tasty coffee, and desserts. Drinks are a little expensive, you can pay 4€ for one cup. When sitting on the high stools, there's a definite issue with fruit flies in that area - need to do something about that. Most of the staff are excellent especially one chap who I spoke to quite often, in French and English. I say most as there's one girl who, when they were getting ready to close one evening brought the sign in from outside and placed it between the window and the high table I was at, blocking my exit. She looked at me, laughed then went outside again. I had to get the manager to move the sign so I could leave. Very weird. Apart from that, it's a nice place to have coffee. Btw, the WiFi is hit and miss. Not the most reliable.
